Our story

Built with Care, Guided by Purpose

Picton Psychology began with our founder, Clinical Psychologist Lisa Arnold, with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to thoughtful, high-quality psychological care.

From the very beginning, the practice has been built around people, not funding models, session limits or business targets. Whether someone attends one appointment or needs support over many years, our focus has always been on providing the care that’s right for them.

We believe that good care doesn’t stop because a Mental Health Care Plan has ended, and we know that not everyone can access private psychological services. That’s why we’ve developed additional pathways to support our community, including bulk billed workshops and practical guidance for people who may need services beyond our own.

Just as importantly, we believe no one should be left wondering where to turn next. If we’re not the right service for someone, we’ll always do our best to connect them with the support they need.

Today, that philosophy continues to guide every member of our team. We take the time to listen, collaborate with other health professionals and provide evidence-based care that’s shaped around each person’s unique circumstances - not a one size fits all approach.
